We began life in 1972 as a Young Wives’ Group.  Now many of us are beginning a new life as grandmas! There is a nucleus of original members but we welcome all ‘friends’ to our meetings on the second Monday of the month in St Wilfrid’s Hall at 7.45pm. Meetings begin with a Bible reading and prayer, but the subject material can be sacred or secular. We welcome your input, whether it be introducing a speaker, making a cupper or lending a sympathetic ear.

We travel widely (no passports needed!), keep up to date with local issues, exercise, socialise but above all support one another in our Christian faith. Be assured of a warm welcome. Normally, we pay a pound which covers the cost of our speakers, our refreshments, gifts and donations, but your first experience of Wives and Friends is a freebie! We look forward to meeting you and hope you will become a regular!
