Making Disciples of Jesus Christ

St Wilfrid’s is a church that is committed to helping every person, whatever their age or background, to know Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord.  We are committed to helping every Christian to discover the abilities given them by the Holy Spirit and then to train them in using those abilities to the glory of God.

Relevant to Ordinary People

We want to be a church that shares our faith in Jesus Christ in a way that is relevant to the lives of ordinary people, and enables those people to express their faith in contemporary and meaningful ways.

Part of the Community

We believe that God has called us to share His love primarily with those amongst whom we live, whilst of course we are concerned to support Christian work in other parts of our town, country and abroad.

We know that we have much work to do to achieve this vision.  We hope you will help us fulfil it.
